WHAT
IS ALUMINATION?
It is primarily (but see custom section for more options!) a .025 [.64mm]
thick aluminum laminate stocked in 4 x 10ft. sheets [1220 x 3048mm] coated
with a
proprietary finish that allows photographic images to be infused into
its surface by way of sublimation techniques. Suitable for many interior
and exterior applications.
ALUMINATION STOCK PROGRAM FEATURES:
• A large selection of IN STOCK laminates featuring abstract designs
in various metallic color combinations.
• Highly UV resistant for indoor or outdoor use (up to 5000 hours
QUV).
• High abrasion, chemical, and stain resistant. Suitable for vertical
applications and some light duty horizontal uses.
• Easy to fabricate with saw, routers, drills etc. Also can be bent
sharply without crazing or damaging the surface.
• 4 x 10ft. x .025 aluminum sheet [1220 x 3048mm x .64mm].
• Satin finish is standard (High Gloss optional).

COLOR FREEDOM SERIES = Good news for designers!
• Our Stock Patterns can be modified in color to meet specific color
needs.
• Simply go to our Website: www.advtechnology.com, click on the
Alumination Icon, then click on “Color Freedom Series”.
• You will find all our stock patterns, each with a color bar. Simply
slide your pointer across the bar and the pattern will change to many
popular color options.
• Once you find a color that will work for you, follow the prompts
and a physical sample will be sent to you (samples are absolutely necessary
as colors appear different on each monitor and the true effect of our
infused color process must be seen by physical samples).

of very bold designs that are suitable as laminates and/or Wall Art.
ALUMINATION CUSTOM PROGRAM:
• This is a photographic process and any photo or design can be
used to create a new laminate.
• Simply supply a photo or sample.
• If you like any or our existing patterns, but want more exact
color changes than the “Color Freedom Series” offers, you
can customize them further by giving us specific color requests and how
you want a pattern changed (note: we do not match Pantone colors exactly,
but get you “in the Ball Park”).
• The possibilities are virtually endless – from enlarging
or decreasing size of the pattern to changing the colors in part or the
entire pattern. (There is a nominal charge for this service. Minimum for
custom orders is 1 sheet. Specification for custom digital art should
be requested – see our Website at www.advtechnology.com.)
• Different substrates can be used like tempered glass, veneer,
MDF, FRP and more – SO, PLEASE INQUIRE.
ALUMINATION TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
• Size: 4 x 10ft. x .025 [1220 x 3048mm x .64mm]
• Colors and Finish: slight color variations from lot to lot may
occur along with very slight surface imperfections that are inherent in
the manufacturing process. Sheets must be inspected prior to use to insure
that they meet
customer’s requirements.
• Fire Rating: Class 1 ASTM E 84.
• Chemical Resistance: Passes for use with all common household
cleaners, mineral spirits, acetone, xylene, red wine, mustard, alcohol,
5% HCI, 10% sulfuric acid, with no effect. Slight effect with MEK and
toluene.
• UV Stability: Passes ASTM D 4587, 5000 hours in QUV.
• Salt Spray: Passes ASTM B-117, 500 hours.
• Pencil Hardness: Passes ASTM D 3363 for HB, F and H.
• Abrasion Resistance: ASTM F1478-95. 500 revolutions with abrader
produce approximately .08 grams loss or about 2 mils of coating (coating
is only 2 mils thick). Also, using 00 steel wool and rubbing across the
surface (back and forth) 50 times, produces no visible scratching or adverse
effect.
• Adhesion: Passes ASTM 3359 cross hatch test.
• Finish Types: Satin (30 sheen) standard, High Gloss (80 sheen)
optional (minimums may apply).
• Cleaning: When fabricating, clean adhesive residue with mineral
spirits or acetone. When installed, use only warm soapy water –
never use abrasive cleaners.
• Packing: Shipped via truck in wooden crates. Cardboard boxes are
possible (holds up to 3 sheets) for air shipments and UPS but are not
recommended –
used at customer’s risk.
• Storage: Sheets should be stored flat for best results.
• Acclimatization: Sheets must be acclimatized for a minimum of
24 hours in the environment that they will be used.
• Lamination: Use the same methods as standard HPL’s except
the back must be degreased prior to lamination.
• Fabrication: Use same methods associated with fabricating aluminum
sheet. Can be sawed, routed, cut, sheared, press bent and drilled.
• Uses: Suitable for Wall Art, and any place where light duty laminates
would be used. Suitable for interior and exterior use.

free from material defects, slight color variation and imperfections
in the surface are normal. The seller’s only obligation will be
to
replace defective sheets on a one to one basis. Neither the
manufacturer nor the seller shall be liable for any additional loss or
damage directly or indirectly arising as a result of using these
products. The user must test these products to insure that they
are suitable for his intended use. We in no event shall be liable in
either tort or contract from any loss direct, special, incidental or
otherwise. We can make no warranty that these products are
suitable for particular purpose and can make on other warranties,
expressed or implied others than those set forth above.
